After adding two players at the WHL trade deadline yesterday and not losing anyone off their roster in those deals, it was clear someone was going to be the odd man out for the Saskatoon Blades.
It turns out to be winger and Saskatoon native Braeden Johnson.
He was reassigned to the Kindersley Klippers of the SJHL, who then traded his rights to the Battlefords North Stars last night. It sounds as if he will be reporting there and is happy to be joining them, in what will definitely be an increased role.
The 18 year old had 3 goals and 5 assists and was a -3 in his 28 games with Saskatoon this season.
