19 points in 8 games is worth some sort of reward. That's what Ryan Nugent-Hopkins of the Red Deer Rebels did for the month of March.
In those 8 games and 19 points, he also scored 11 goals.
The WHL's top ranked draft-eligible player finished 4th in league scoring with 106 points. He also lead the league with 75 assists.
His Rebels team currently lead the Edmonton Oil Kings 3-0 in their series in the WHL playoffs. Red Deer can advance to round 2 with a win tonight in Edmonton.
In other news, Kelowna Rockets goalie Adam Brown was named the WHL goalie of the month.
He was 6-2 in the month with a 1.61 GAA and a .944 save percentage.
